Central
American Digital Network Service
RACSA offers “point to
point” connection services between Costa Rica and the region’s
countries, through the Central American Digital Network, which allows
establishing dedicated connections between companies located in
different countries, with speeds of Kbps (Kilobytes per second) up to
2 Mbps (Megabytes per second), enabling the integration of
applications in a digital channel, available the 24 hours. This
network has optical fiber and digital microwave links with a capacity
of 140 Mbps (Megabytes per second) at a level of their main platform
(back-bone).
The wide network
initiates its route in Guatemala, going through Costa Rica and ending
in Panama, giving coverage to Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador,
Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Panama.
Within our country,
any link coming from the Central American network (as well as any link
coming from abroad), can be connected to other RACSA networks, like
the frame relay digital network (RACSANET) or national digital network
(RACSALINK), which provide coverage to over 85% of the national
territory.
Within this service’s
advantages the following stand out:
• The establishment
of high speed links
• Efficient and great
productivity connections
• Agility in the
information traffic between the offices in the Central American area
• Possibility of
integrating signals of voice, fax and data using only one
infrastructure, which avoids the user contracting services of
different networks dedicated to the transportation of only one type of
traffic
• The links are
performed with digital microwave, which is guarantee of a reliable and
high availability link, since it reduces the external plant equipment
and network maintenance
• Service and
Attention to Damages 24 x 7
