Colocation service
The
Colocation service -facilities of physical space and connectivity-,
consists in leasing space to host telecommunication equipments or servers,
to have access to private or public communications networks. This is
offered in two modalities: Medium (½) Cabinet rental and Complete Cabinet
rental, which can be rented with or without access to the Internet
service.
The main
service characteristics are:
• Ensure
the customer a direct connection to the public network, which ensures a
greater operation availability of the service rented.
• The user
can get the specific service within much less time than the one required
if this would have to be installed in another physical place.
• This
RACSA service provides the customers with access to services or bandwidths
that are not available in a specific area.
Characteristics:
- Access to the room through 3 security levels.
- Security metal detection at entrance.
- Security officer at the building’s entrance.
- Magnetic key to access the room.
- Complete or Medium Cabinet option with key locked
door.
- Share LAN Network Connection (Fast Ethernet) duplex
10/100 Mbps between the room’s switch and the Internet network.
- Room acclimatized by 2 independent stations, which
provide air through a fake floor, with direct downloading unit for the
environment (both systems with backup).
- Uninterrupted feeding system through a central unit
(UPS) of 40 Kilovolt amperes (KVA), connected in dual input
configuration with another equipment of similar capacity.
- Caterpillar 3412 model, 530 kilovolt- amperes (KVA)
electric plant, for backup in case the commercial provision of power
fails.
- Cabling system structured within the room.
- Room with 3 telephone extensions with domestic
output.
- Physical space in 0.80 x 0.80 x 2.2 meter cabinets.
- 19 inch cabinets.
- Cabinets anchored to the ground and with grounding
system.
- Entry to the room 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Low noise level inside the room.
- Dust free environment.
- The building that houses the room meets the
antiseismic standards specified in the Seismic Code of Costa Rica
(CSCR-86).
- Work table and chair in the room.
- Maintenance service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
