What is RACSA’s email or e-mail?
The email is a RACSA
service that allows the user the sending and receiving of messages
from one computer to another one or, even several at the same time.
• How do I get my RACSA email account?
When acquiring an
access to RACSA Internet service (Limitless Internet, Personal
Internet, Super Inexpensive Internet, Internet Via Modem Cable,
Wireless Internet Via WIMAX and Corporate Bandwidth Internet). Rasa’s
email service is free.
• How do I activate my RACSA email
account?
When acquiring the
access to RACSA Internet service in any of the modalities (Limitless
Internet, Personal Internet, Super Inexpensive Internet, Internet Via
Modem Cable, Wireless Internet Via WIMAX and Corporate Bandwidth
Internet), you will be given the email access passwords, upon
activating the access to Internet service the email box will also be
activated.
• Which is my email address?
The email address is usuario@racsa.co.cr and it will depend on the username that you
have selected.
• Does RACSA do the email service
configuration?
No. The customer will
be responsible of configuring his/her equipment, as well as acquiring
the software required to access the service. However, he/she can get
assistance through telephone number: (506) 800- NAVEGAR
(800-628-3427).
• Can I have additional emails?
Yes, you can have
additional emails. For this you have to be subscribed to al least one
of Rasa’s Internet services; Limitless Internet, Personal Internet,
Super Inexpensive Internet, Internet Via Modem Cable, Wireless
Internet Via WIMAX and Corporate Bandwidth Internet.
• What do the additional emails cost?
The cost of additional emails is $1.00 per month, which is invoiced within the same invoice of access
to Internet service contracted.
• Can I change the address and email
password?
Yes, to change the
email address the subscriber to access to Internet service must fax a
signed note with the copy of the legal ID card to number 22287-0508 and
within 24 working hours the procedure will be carried out, or else you may appear in person to the
Telecommunications Center located in RACSA’s central building, located
in 5th Avenue, 1st Street, where the change is
immediately made.
To change the email
password you must access Internet at the electronic address https://www.saci.racsa.co.cr , where the change is immediately
made.
• Which characters may I use to define
both my RACSA address as my email password?
The email address
cannot contain simple, double coma, coma, blank spaces and it must
have more than 5 characters.
The email password
must not have less than 8 characters, it does not allow the use of
letters and the password may not be the same as the email address.
• How can I access my RACSA email
account?
There are two ways of
accessing RACSA’s email:
- Through Web Mail
- Through POP3 protocol
• How can I access my email through
Web Mail?
To access your email
account through Web Mail, you will need to access RACSA’s site, at the
electronic address www.racsa.co.cr , on the read mail option, you only need to type
the username and password and click the "enter" option. From there,
you will be able to use the same mail facilities like you usually do
it from your personal computer.
• How can I access my email through
POP3?
To access the email
through POP3, you can configure any email customer that can be
accessed using this protocol.
The configuration data
is the following:
Username: The user
defined by the mail
Password: The one
established.

• What is the Personalized Agenda of RACSA’s
email?
The new Personalized Agenda of RACSA’s email
is a collaboration tool that will allow you to administer resources and time in an orderly and simple fashion. This
tool will allow the events calendarization (add, modify and
erase) specified by the user, users groups calendarization
of user groups @racsa.co.cr
(as of the time the users establish the permits), share the
information of events, tasks administration, invitation generation via
email, as well as receiving events or activities reminders or notices
via email or RACSA Messenger.
• Which does the Personalized Agenda
of RACSA’s email cost?
The personalized
agenda of RACSA’s email does not have any additional cost since it
constitutes an additional attribute for the user’s enjoyment.
• Do I have to have an email account @racsa.co.cr
to make use of my Personalized Agenda?
Yes, to access your
Personalized Agenda and enjoy the service it is necessary to have a
RACSA’s email account, which is assigned when acquiring the access to
RACSA Internet service in any of the modalities (Limitless Internet,
Personal Internet, Super Inexpensive Internet, Internet Via Modem
Cable, Wireless Internet Via WIMAX and Corporate Bandwidth Internet).

• What is the "messenger" of Rasa’s
email?
The RACSA Messenger is
an instantaneous messenger program that will allow RACSA’s email users
to communicate with other users of this service, enabling the sending
of text, animated icons (GIF), files exchange, and even the reception
of notices on the arrival of new messages to your inbox folder or on
programmed appointments in your personalized agenda.
• What does the "messenger" of RACSA’s
email cost?
The "messenger" of
RACSA’s email does not have any additional cost since it constitutes
an additional attribute for the user’s enjoyment.
